is to offer older adults opportunities to learn about a wide array of interesting topics. The emphasis is enjoyable learning in a relaxed non-competitive atmosphere where socialization is an important aspect of the program. Learning is purely for the joy of learning.

The Senior College of Greater Des Moines was developed with the support of the Des Moines Higher Education Collaborative, whose members include DMACC, Drake University, Grand View College, Iowa State University, Simpson College, The University of Iowa, and the University of Northern Iowa.
